Depending on the church, chapel or venue the family can request that the casket be opened before, during or after the sermon or memorial service for the last viewing of the loved one to take place.
After the sermon or memorial service the loved one will be taken to the crematorium in the chosen casket for the cremation to take place. This could be immediately or as per the arrangement at a given date or time. After the cremation takes place the remains of the loved one will be handed to the family in an ash box or urn.
Utmost care is taken during the cremation process with stringent legislation in place to ensure that the family will only get the remains of their loved one.
